Why am I still hearing about the morality debate?

When religious people say they get their morality from the bible it’s a definite wtf moment. The Bible has the most horrendous acts of violence.. which was condoned by the god they pray to. The only reason the majority doesn’t kill babies is because of their ability to pick the good parts from the bad parts. And they’re able to do this because of… dun dun dun.. EVOLUTION!

I’m sure any atheist has realized this little conundrum with Christian arguments of morality and the bible.. but it has failed to enter their minds as to why they don’t murder meanwhile their god did it. But the theists who do use this argument will still cling to it with all they have left because I mean, what arguments do they have left?

I got a Darwin fish tattoo on my right ankle. It’s a pretty simple design, but I wanted to tweak it a little, so I drew it with the extended fin and the bow. I am a scientist and this tattoo shares my beliefs. This was done at Atomic Tattoos at the Florida Mall in Orlando, by the wonderful Rick Rosas

The trouble with the creationist idiots is they confuse Theory with Hypothesis. Evolution has been proved time and time again and it’s frightening to think that some of the Republican candidates for President, men who could have their hands on the nuclear launch codes, believe the Earth is less than 10,000 yrs old and was created by a supernatural Being, “Gawd help us ” with a suitable sense of irony!

Atheist challenge - Day 8! (I’m getting really bad at keeping up with these)

8. What’s your political alignment? Does your atheism influence how you vote and how you feel on issues?

I’m kind of a die hard liberal.. even before I became an atheist. But then when I became an atheist I ultimately became this freakish science nerd and whenever I hear a politician say they don’t “believe” in The Theory of Evolution it automatically turns me off. First of all.. The Theory of Evolution is a FACT. A MOTHERFUCKING FACT. And to hear a politician say I don’t “believe” in it instead of saying, “Well, I have don’t have an opinion because I haven’t done my research on it” really pisses me off because if your going to be president and DENY something because of your beliefs is disgusting and childish. Now, I know that shouldn’t be a deciding factor when voting for someone but who the hell wants someone leading a country who doesn’t take the time to learn about something before denying it (& they wouldn’t deny evolution if they studied it). Smh, now I’ve got myself pissed off lol. So long story short me being an atheist has changed what I look for in a potential presidential candidate, but for the better (:
